Hon. Victoria Kingstone sworn in as member of the Pan African Parliament

Hon. Victoria Kingstone, MP for Mangochi Central, is part of the Malawi delegation attending the Fourth Ordinary Session of the Fifth Parliament of the Pan African Parliament (PAP)  in Johannesburg, South Africa. Hon. Kingstone has been sworn in as a member of PAP, and will represent the SADC region in the Women’s Caucus of PAP.
The Malawi delegation consists of 5 members of Malawi’s National Assembly. Hon. Kingstone is the only female MP in the delegation.

The Pan-African Parliament is one of the organs of the African Union (AU) as set out by the Treaty Establishing the African Economic Community (Abuja Treaty).The Parliament is intended as a platform for people from all African states to be involved in discussions and decision-making on the problems and challenges facing the continent.
