The Speaker of Parliament Right Honourable Catherine Gotani Hara, MP, is in the southern region where she is visiting victims of Cyclone Freddy.
Joined by some Members of the Parliamentary Women Caucus (PWC), the Speaker today visited Phalombe Secondary School Camp, Phalombe Health Center and Chambe Camp where she donated cash and assorted items.
Later in the day, the Speaker and members of the PWC also visited cyclone victims at Lauderdale Primary School and Thawale Camp in Mulanje district.
The Speaker has been accompanied by Women’s Caucus Chairperson Roseby Gadama, Mwanza West MP Joyce Chitsulo, Mangochi East MP Francesca Masamba and Nsanje South West MP Eurita Mtiza.
